When I was deployed, there were quite a few people that were "stop lossed". There was a Staff Sergeant that had his 20 yr letter (we were a Nat'l Guard unit) and he still had to go. Little did I know that my enlistment was up, but I was also stop lossed. For some soldiers, it affected their morale, others, well we made the best of it. I believe it all depends on the soldier/person as to how they deal with it. As with any place of business, you are going to have people who gripe and complain about everything at any given moment. It just happens that way. It's not necessarily fair, but as soldiers, we do what we are told....and continue to march.
